A general and selective copper-catalyzed reduction of secondary amides.

چکیده
In situ-generated cationic copper/pybox catalyst systems allow for the selective reduction of secondary amides into the corresponding amines under mild conditions. This novel protocol has a wide substrate scope and shows good functional group tolerance.

Copper/N,N-dimethylglycine catalyzed goldberg reactions between aryl bromides and amides, aryl iodides and secondary acyclic amides.
An efficient and general copper-catalyzed Goldberg reaction at 90-110 °C between aryl bromides and amides providing the desired products in good to excellent yields has been developed using N,N-dimethylglycine as the ligand. The reaction is tolerant toward a wide range of amides and a variety of functional group substituted aryl bromides. In addition, hindered, unreactive aromatic and aliphatic...
متن کاملPhotoinduced, copper-catalyzed alkylation of amides with unactivated secondary alkyl halides at room temperature.
The development of a mild and general method for the alkylation of amides with relatively unreactive alkyl halides (i.e., poor substrates for SN2 reactions) is an ongoing challenge in organic synthesis. We describe herein a versatile transition-metal-catalyzed approach: in particular, a photoinduced, copper-catalyzed monoalkylation of primary amides. A broad array of alkyl and aryl amides (as w...
متن کاملSelective reduction of amides to amines by boronic acid catalyzed hydrosilylation.
Not a 'B'ore! Benzothiophene-based boronic acids catalyze the reduction of tertiary, secondary, and primary amides in the presence of a hydrosilane. The reaction demonstrates good functional-group tolerance.
متن کاملHeterogeneously catalyzed selective aerobic oxidative cross-coupling of terminal alkynes and amides with simple copper(II) hydroxide.
Simple copper(II) hydroxide Cu(OH)(2) could act as an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for selective oxidative cross-coupling of a broad range of terminal alkynes and amides using air as a sole oxidant, giving the corresponding ynamides in moderate to high yields (56-93% yields).
متن کاملCopper-TBAF catalyzed arylation of amines and amides with aryl trimethoxysilane.
A copper-catalyzed C-N bond forming reaction among aryl siloxane and primary, secondary amines as well as amides has been described. The reaction was conducted in the presence of P(C6F5)3 and 4 A molecular sieves in CH2Cl2 at room temperature under O2. A catalytic amount of TBAF was employed to activate aryl siloxanes.
